Welcome to Book Restoration Co.!

Mr. Twomey’s recognition in the field of document restoration and conservation is a result of his expert workmanship and dedication to conservation awareness. He is frequently invited to conduct seminars and workshops throughout North America, Europe and Asia.

The inspiration for Mr. Twomey’s interest in bookbinding and conservation came from his grandfather, W. G. Edwards, III, from whom he learned the craft and under whom he served his apprenticeship.

Mr. Twomey graduated with distinction from the University of Wisconsin with a Master of Science degree in Administration, with a special interest in the History of Science. He served for 20 years as an adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Graduate School of Information Studies and currently serves at Dominican University’s Graduate School of Library and Information Science. Mr. Twomey has published many articles on preservation, education and fraternalism in the United States.

For more than 35 years, we have specialized in the restoration of antique Bibles, family Bibles, and custom leather bookbinding and repair of other Bibles.
